DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Gqeberha, Eastern Cape
Duration: 18 months
Coega Development is offering an internship opportunity for the role of Digital Media Intern. During the programme, the candidate will be placed within the Admin/ Office department where they will gain valuable knowledge and skills.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Assisting in all advertising, web-related, and print media projects; this includes collateral projects from start to finish
- Ensuring all digital, advertising, online, and print media related projects are completed as specified by the GDS Digitial team
- Ensuring design-related job numbers are logged whilst keeping time of work done for each job
- Determining the arrangement and size of illustrative material and copy and selecting the correct one for websites, social media, the internet, and other media platforms
- Completing web content administration, ensuring all online media has the same brand consistency following CDC CI manual
- Optimising websites and internet content, such as social media and mobile app(s)
- Ensuring proper governance and continuous improvements happen by developing and implementing online systems and processes
- Ensuring that algorithms applicable to the current marketing environment are applied to increase retention and acquisition (such including search engine/ social media algorithms)
- Ensuring brands visibilities are increased across the net and social media
- Attending meetings when required to be the GDS Digital team
- Completing any other duties assigned to you
- Helping in the planning and transportation of CDC branding material for events
- Demonstrating knowledge and application of certain algorithms
- Demonstrating the use of Google Analytics, Eigenvalues, Regression algorithms, Bayesian algorithms, Principle component analysis, Predictive Analytics, and Data modeling for a variety of tasks
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric
- Must have completed one of these qualifications: National Diploma in IT, Bachelors of Technology in IT or a National Diploma in Graphic design
- Must have web experience
- Must be computer literate
- Must be proficient in MS Office and Excel
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be no older than 35 years
- Must be a permanent resident of Gqeberha
- Advantageous: Graphic Design skills
- Advantageous: Web Developing/ Coding skills
- Must know technology trends
- Must be detail orientated
- Must be goal-driven
