Chymamusique has given fans a sobering update on his recovery, four months after surviving a devastating car accident that nearly claimed his life.

The South African producer took to X on January 7, 2026, where he shared an X-ray image revealing the extent of his injuries.

The scan shows wires and steel used to repair his fractured skull, offering a stark glimpse into the life-saving surgery he underwent following the crash.

“Progress report. Grateful for life,” he wrote alongside the image.

The accident, which occurred on August 30, 2025, claimed five lives, including that of DJ Poizen, and left Chymamusique with severe head injuries.

Since then, the award-winning musician has been documenting his slow but steady recovery, often using social media to reflect on his physical healing and emotional resilience.

While many followers flooded his timeline with messages of encouragement and prayers, the post also sparked mixed reactions, with some critics questioning whether sharing such personal medical details online was necessary.

Despite the divided response, Chymamusique has remained firm about why he continues to document his journey publicly.

In a separate post, he explained that his intention is to inspire others who may be facing their own battles.

“I share my story and progress because I know someone needs it. It’s meant to spark hope into someone’s life; we can’t give up now,” he said.

The trauma of the crash has also marked a spiritual turning point for the producer.

His recent updates are frequently accompanied by messages of faith, gratitude, and reflection, as he acknowledges what he describes as a second chance at life.
