Christall Kay opens up about losing her millions, home and everything she owned

South African reality TV personality and musician Christall Kay has spoken candidly about one of the darkest periods of her life, revealing how she lost her wealth, her home, and almost everything she once owned.

The former Real Housewives star opened up during a recent sit-down interview with popular YouTuber and podcaster Lungelo KM, who later shared a clip from their conversation on X (formerly Twitter). The video quickly sparked widespread reactions, with many social media users expressing shock and sympathy after hearing Christall’s emotional account.

For years, Christall remained largely silent about her struggles, even as she continued to appear confident in the public eye. However, she revealed that behind the scenes, her life was unraveling in ways few people knew.

“Very few people know that I actually lost everything,” she said. “I lost my love, my house, and every material possession you could ever think of. I lost it all.”

Christall explained that the loss went far beyond money. She was forced to sell her belongings, including items that held deep personal value, just to survive. “I loved every little thing I had, from my beautiful chaise couch to my very ancient record player. All of that was taken. I sold everything I owned, and it was a very painful process,” she shared.

The situation became even more difficult as she found herself constantly relocating. Over a two-year period, she moved four times, often carrying massive loads of belongings under increasingly strained financial conditions. “I had to move with 24 tons of stuff because economically, I had no choice,” she said, adding that she went through it all alone, without the support of family or close friends.

Despite the hardship, Christall said the experience reshaped her outlook on life, identity, and success. “It doesn’t make me less than a human being,” she stated. “Who you are and how rich you are is inside of you. It’s not determined by your material possessions.”

She also reflected on the resilience she discovered within herself, saying that losing money did not stop her from believing in her future. “I’m still here, I’m still standing, and I’m still moving forward. My opportunities are still coming, and I’m still rising,” she said.

The interview comes shortly after viewers witnessed tense moments involving Christall on reality TV, making her revelations even more poignant for fans who had no idea what she was facing behind closed doors.
