Award-winning singer and performer Chris Brown has surprised fans after revealing that he secretly earned a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Entrepreneurship from Harvest Christian University.

The singer shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, posting a photo of his degree certificate and opening up about an achievement that he had kept private for years.

Brown’s revelation quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom were unaware that the global star had pursued higher education while continuing to build his successful music career.

CHRIS BROWN KEPT HIS DEGREE PRIVATE FOR YEARS

According to the document issued to Christopher Maurice Brown, the degree was officially conferred on 30 April 2022. The date on the certificate suggests that Brown completed the qualification more than four years ago but chose not to share the news publicly at the time.

The unexpected announcement gave fans a glimpse into a personal accomplishment that had remained out of the spotlight despite being a significant milestone in the singer’s life.

OPENS UP ABOUT THE MILESTONE

Alongside the certificate, Brown shared a message reflecting on the accomplishment and his approach to personal growth.

“Forgot to mention: I DID ANOTHER THING,” he wrote. “MASTERS. I MOVE IN SILENCE, BUT TRY TO GROW IN PUBLIC.”

Brown’s words suggested that while he prefers to achieve his goals quietly, he also values sharing important milestones with those who support him.

The post quickly gained traction across social media, drawing thousands of reactions and comments.

CHRIS BROWN ADDS TO HIS ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

Brown’s revelation comes just days after he received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Visual & Performing Arts from Harvest Christian University.

In May 2026, the singer shared photos from the graduation ceremony, showing himself dressed in academic regalia while holding the honorary doctorate certificate. He captioned the post, “I did a thing.”

Another image showed the official diploma recognising the honorary distinction. According to the certificate, the honorary degree was awarded on 23 May 2026.

The honorary doctorate and the newly revealed master’s degree have given fans a look at another side of the artist’s journey. While Brown remains best known for his music, performances, and entertainment career, his recent posts have highlighted his commitment to education, personal growth, and achievement beyond the stage.

Fans have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating both accomplishments and praising the singer for continuing to invest in himself while maintaining a successful career.
