All 94,700 seats for Chris Brown’s 14 December show at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium sold out in less than three hours.
The rush for tickets was similar to Justin Bieber’s 2013 sell-out at the same venue, though not all stars have fared as well in Joburg. Burna Boy’s recent show, for example, struggled to sell tickets.
Due to the overwhelming demand, Chris Brown has added a second show on 15 December at FNB Stadium.
Tickets for the second date went on sale on 4 October.
“Due to unprecedented demand, @chrisbrown has added a second date to his Live in Johannesburg, Breezy in South Africa concert!” BIG Concerts posted on X.
While fans are excited about the additional show, some have expressed disappointment that he isn’t visiting other cities.
“Why can’t he do other cities like Durban and Cape Town instead of performing twice at the same venue on different dates?” one fan asked.
