Kwaito singer and dancer Chomee is celebrating an incredible milestone, two decades in the music industry.

The “I Won’t Run” hitmaker recently marked her 20-year anniversary with a live performance at Disoufeng Pub and Grill in Soweto, drawing both nostalgia and surprise from fans.

Controversial blogger Musa Khawula shared a clip of Chomee performing at the event, announcing that the star was celebrating 20 years in the industry.

The revelation left many social media users stunned, with some expressing disbelief at how long she has been in the spotlight, while others jokingly asked when she last released new music.

Chomee also shared her excitement on Instagram, inviting fans to join her for what she described as a career-defining night.

“The celebration of the year lands at Disoufeng, Soweto, Chomee: 20 Years of Dance & Song,” she wrote. “It’s more than a show. It’s a legacy two decades of music, movement and magic.”

The event featured performances by some of Mzansi’s top stars, including Kamo Mphela, Babes Wodumo, Lady Du, Busiswa, and DJ Owami, among others.

While she’s been quiet on the music front in recent years, Chomee’s milestone serves as a reminder of her lasting impact on South African pop culture.
