Forward Ranga Chivavairo struck four times as Kaizer Chiefs beat Al Shahaniya 5-2 in a friendly match on Saturday.
It was the first known friendly game for Amakhosi in their tour of Turkey after being previous matches behind closed doors.
Rising star Mfundo Vilakazi grabbed a goal l as they recorded a morale-boosting victory.
But Chivaviro hogged the limelight by scoring four times against the newly-promoted Qatari Stars League side.
Going into pre-season, Chiefs were being criticised for being blunt up top.
But Chivaviro rose to give a hint of what could be expected from him during the 2024/25 season.
This is after he arrived at Chiefs amid high expectations following impressive scoring exploits for Marumo Gallants both in the Premier Soccer League and CAF Confederation Cup.
But the Limpopo-born forward managed four goals in 19 PSL games last season when he was expected to carry on with the form he showed for Gallants.
His exploits could convince coach Nasreddine Nabi to make him a regular in the new season as Chiefs have been struggling for a regular scorer.
Chiefs are expected back home soon and will head straight to Bloemfontein where they will play against Tanzanian giants Young Africans in the Toyota Cup.
