Stellenbosch host Kaizer Chiefs at the DHL Stadium on Sunday afternoon, and these are the line-ups the coaches have selected.
After the fan chaos that overshadowed the MTN8 fixture between these two teams in August, Stellies opted to not host this DStv Premiership fixture at the Danie Craven Stadium.
But while it may not their home fortress, Stellies are no strangers to the Cape Town Stadium, having played here regularly in their first season in the top flight.
It is an intriguing battle between fifth-placed Chiefs and sixth-placed Stellies, with their last meeting being that MTN8 quarter-final which ended in Chiefs winning in a penalty shootout.
That result was Chiefs’ first success against Steve Barker’s team since 2019, with Barker winning twice last season, while the three previous fixtures had ended in draws.
Chiefs have confirmed that six players are unavailable for this fixture.
This is how they line-up:
Stellenbosch XI: Stephens, De Goede, Basadien, Van Rooyen, Mthethwa, Jabaar, Sibiya, Mngomezulu, Mgaga, Mendieta, Van Wyk
Subs: Langeveldt, Makhanya, Boji, Moseamedi, Letsoenyo, Adams, Titus, Hahn
Kaizer Chiefs XI: Khune Frosler, Dove, Ngezane, Hlanti, Blom, Maart, Dolly, Du Preez, Sekgota, Bimenyimane
Subs: Petersen, Alexander, Nj Ngcobo, Nk Ngcobo, Sithebe, Radebe, Solomomns, Mahlatsi, Zwane
