Kaizer Chiefs forward Ashley Du Preez has won the Goal of the Month award for April for his fine strike against Chippa United.
Du Preez, 25, scored a superb golazo in Chiefs’ 1-0 win at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, securing his side’s last victory of the 2022/23 campaign.
The Amakhosi forward was picked out by Reeve Frosler with a long ball and then beat two defenders before putting it in the top corner.
Du Preez becomes the second Chiefs player to win a Goal of the Month award this season, joining Yusuf Maart, who won it in September/October.
Meanwhile, Bradley Ralani‘s goal against Maritzburg United won the Goal of the Month award for May. Both goals will automatically be added to the Goal of the Season nominees’ list.
The other nominees are Phillip Ndlondlo (August, for Marumo Gallants), Themba Zwane (January/February) and Lantshene Phalane (for March)
