Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung has revealed the club is confident over the arbitration ruling of their two December fixtures.
Motaung was speaking during an event, where Amakhosi announced Toyota as their sleeve sponsor for the next 18 month.
Meanwhile, Chiefs’ case over their December fixtures against Cape Town City and Golden Arrows, which the club did not honour, will return to the PSL DC on Friday.
However, Motaung is confident that the Glamour Boys will win their case, which they’ve taken to SAFA.
“We are confident of winning the case because we followed the laws and did what was best for everyone,” Motaung said, as per Daily Sun.
“We look forward to winning the case, and we have nothing to worry about. The case is ongoing, but we followed the rules of the country.
“We care about our players and the opposition, and Covid-19 put us under pressure, and we could not risk our team.”
Initially the PSL had remained silent on the matter, with official rules stating Covid-19 can not be used as basis to postpone matches.
However, they later dismissed Chiefs request to postpone the games – a decision that was appealed by the Glamour Boys, who brought forward an application to arbitration at SAFA.
