Chiefs Agree Terms With Bimenyimana

Kaizer Chiefs have finally found the new striker Arthur Zwane desperately wanted and are expected to confirm their new signing imminently.

Zwane had insisted his squad still needed a different kind of striker, a target man, who can hold up the ball, with many of their attacking players being somewhat smaller, fast-paced and very skilful.

Burundi international Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, who had impressed the club on trial, has agreed to a deal with Amakhosi, iDiski Times have learnt.

The 24-year-old, who ironically scored a goal in FNB Stadium for his country in a 1-1 draw against Namibia in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, had netted two goals in three pre-season outings for Amakhosi.

On Monday, Bimenyimana’s former club Rayon Sport posted an image of the striker appearing at the club’s ‘Rayon Sport Day’, where their new signings were presented – the social media post was captioned “he’s back”, however the club’s coach Christian-Francis Haringingo had stated the striker will not re-join his club.

Instead, Bimenyimana has agreed to a two-year deal with an option for another year with the Glamour Boys and will be unveiled shortly.
