In recent developments, Police Minister Bheki Cele has reportedly clarified that providing protection to Sizok’thola host Xolani Khumalo and his crew is not the responsibility of the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Xolani Khumalo and his crew from Sizok’thola are facing their own set of challenges. They are currently under investigation following a drug bust that resulted in the death of a drug dealer during interrogation.

Moja Love, the channel airing Sizok’thola, has confirmed that they are looking into the alleged crime. According to sources, Minister Cele believes that Moja Love should be the one responsible for ensuring the safety of its crew members, rather than SAPS.

This situation arose after public concern prompted calls for SAPS to provide protection to Xolani Khumalo and his crew, who reportedly received death threats from drug dealers.

However, Moja Love has taken measures to address these threats by implementing security measures to safeguard their crew.

Undoubtedly, the Minister’s alleged stance has sparked a division among South Africans. While Sizok’thola has achieved successful drug busts over time, the show has also faced its share of controversies.

The show’s crew has been linked to two deaths – one involving suicide and the other allegedly stemming from interrogation. These incidents have ignited discussions about the show’s impact and the safety of its participants.
