South African rapper Cassper Nyovest recently sang and preached about his love for Jesus at a show.
Nyovest has been open about his beliefs since dedicating his life to God some months ago.
At a recent show, he even performed a Christian song and reminded the crowd about Jesus’ love, a moment that quickly went viral on social media.
Some fans are supportive of his spiritual journey, while others are not so sure, saying that the death of rapper AKA might have influenced his decision.
“Cassper Nyovest has been going through phases ever since AKA was slain,” commented a fan.
Another added: “It’s clear AKA was a big part of Cassper’s career; now he’s seen preaching on stage because he can no longer instigate the beef with Supermega.”
A more cynical fan commented: “It’s a strategy to keep the money flowing, I presume.”
In July, Nyovest shared with his Instagram followers that he had been crying more often since dedicating his life to God.
He posted a video of himself in a swimming pool, explaining in a caption that since committing to his faith, he had become more emotional and deeply touched by the Holy Spirit.
