Mzansi stars celebrate Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day saw several South African celebrities take to social media to shower the special women in their lives with love and appreciation.

From heartfelt messages to adorable family photos, stars such as Cassper Nyovest, Andile Mpisane and Zakes Bantwini joined many others in celebrating motherhood and the important role mothers play in their families.

Award-winning musician Zakes Bantwini penned a touching tribute to his wife, Nandi Madida.

The star praised her for being an incredible mother to their children and for the love she continues to show their family.

“In every moment, I never stop appreciating what an amazing mother you are to our children. Thank you for loving them the way you do. Happy Mother’s Day, my love 😍 @nandi_madida I Love you,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, music artist and DJ Andile Mpisane celebrated not only his wife but also the important women who have guided him throughout his life.

Sharing beautiful snaps of them on social media, Andile expressed gratitude for their sacrifices, wisdom and endless support.

“Happy Mother’s Day to these beautiful, intelligent women who inspire me everyday. Thank you for the endless love, sacrifices, and support through every stage of my life. Your strength, kindness, and wisdom continue to guide me every day. I’m truly grateful to have you as my mothers and the mother of my beautiful children. Wishing you a day filled with love, peace, and happiness,” he captioned the post.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest also melted hearts online after celebrating his wife, Pulane Mojaki, who marked her first Mother’s Day.

The rapper shared a sweet message appreciating her for everything she does for their family.

“Your first Mother’s Day. A simple thank you for everything, my everything. Not only from me but from us, those who count on you daily. I don’t know what it takes to be a mother, I just know that you make our lives easier and allow us to flourish. Happy Mother’s Day Mrs P. From Daddy and the kids,” he wrote.
