Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso has insisted he has nothing to prove at Sekhukhune United after joining the club following seven years at Naturena.
The 33-year-old was one of the 12 players released by Amakhosi last month and has since joined Babina Noko on a three-year deal.
Cardoso is one of 13 new signings at the club and has targeted silverware with his new side.
“I don’t want to prove myself, I think I have over the years, but I want to continue with my consistency and bring it forward to the team,” he told the club’s media team.
“Hopefully, we can move forward as a team and like I said, it’s a team with ambition and I’m looking forward to the new chapter in my journey.”

Cardoso also explained how he can help his new side and their plethora of new signings going forward.
“I think with my leadership skills I can help quite a few of them,” he added.
“Obviously, my long-term goals are to finish in the top four in the first season – I have quite a lengthy contract here and obviously going forward winning a few trophies, there are a few trophies [to play for].
“So hopefully we can bring one of the first trophies to Sekhukhune in the top-flight league, so I hope that ambition will be with the boys too and I can hopefully contribute to that too.”
