Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has confirmed that the South African Football Association are in negotiations with Burkina Faso and Uzbekistan to play two friendlies in November.

The Belgian tactician revealed recently that SAFA had got confirmation from FIFA that there is an official FIFA break from 14 November, which allows him to invite players for another camp.

After the two friendly wins of Sierre Leone (4-0) and Botswana (1-0), Broos stated that he is hopeful SAFA can organise another camp for him in November ahead of the crunch AFCON qualifiers against Liberia, which are only scheduled for March.

“The idea is we will be seven days together from the 14th to the 20th and we’ll play two friendly games,” Broos stated this week.

“It can be that we play Burkina Faso and in Dubai against Uzbekistan but at the moment this is not done so the negotiations are busy but I hope we’ll have those two games.”

Burkina Faso and Uzbekistan would be higher profile opponents than Sierra Leone and Botswana, being placed in 55th and 77th position on the latest FIFA rankings, while Sierre Leone were 113th and Botswana only 146th.
