Britney Spears supports Bieber amid social media backlash

Posted on September 10, 2025

Britney Spears has publicly defended Justin Bieber after the Canadian singer faced criticism for posting photos with his young son.

The pop star turned to Instagram to share her support for Bieber after online backlash about his latest Swag II promotional shoot.

BRITNEY SPEARS STEPS UP FOR JUSTIN

Justin Bieber, 31, included images of himself holding his one-year-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, in black-and-white shots.

The pictures were part of his album promotion, released globally on 5 September, according to People.

In the photos, Jack’s face is turned away, keeping his identity private. Bieber shares the child with his wife, model Hailey Bieber.

CRITICS WEIGHED IN

Critics attacked the images for being “too casual.” Spears, 43, wasted no time in calling out the negativity. “Shame on those who judged my home in my pyjamas!!!

I’m in love with this picture!!! So so beautiful!!!” she wrote on Instagram, reposting one of Bieber’s promo shots.

BIEBER’S CANDID SHOTS

Justin Bieber has regularly shared moments with his toddler while ensuring privacy. Earlier this week, he posted photos of himself in a bright red tracksuit, kayaking with Jack seated on his lap.

In typical fashion, he hid his son’s face from the camera. Bieber captioned the images simply with a cherry emoji.

Family-centred posts from major stars often spark debates, but many see them as expressions of authenticity.

PARENTING STRUGGLES

Britney Spears’ defence highlights the shared struggles of global celebrities when critics tear into their personal lives.

Her post also arrives as she reflects on her own challenges. Just last month, she openly spoke about the pain of being cut off from her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

“We’re just people so fragile and human,” she shared in a now-deleted post. Both Spears and Bieber show that fame doesn’t shield anyone from judgment.
