Thohoyandou District Court grants state application to centralise cases against suspended SAPS sergeant
The Thohoyandou District Court has granted the State’s application to centralise the criminal cases against suspended SAPS Organised Crime Unit Sergeant Fannie Nkosi. The consolidated matter will now be heard at the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court on 22 July 2026.
Nkosi faces multiple charges linked to separate investigations, including the alleged theft of a SAPS forensic report connected to a drug investigation. He also faces charges of theft, fraud, defeating the ends of justice, and allegations of interfering with police evidence in a Limpopo drug case.
The National Prosecuting Authority previously sought to centralise the Pretoria North and Thohoyandou matters to allow all charges against Nkosi to proceed in a single court. Nkosi remains in custody after being denied bail in the Pretoria matter.
