Sibanyoni and Co-Accused Move to Block Revival of Extortion and Money Laundering Case
Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and his three co-accused have approached the Mbombela High Court to stop the re-enrolment of their extortion and money laundering case, according to eNCA.
The accused, including Oupa Johannes Sindane, are challenging the NPA’s decision to revive the matter in the Delmas Magistrate’s Court after it was previously struck off the roll in Kwaggafontein when prosecutor Mkhuseli Ntaba failed to appear in court.
The four face allegations of extorting more than R2.2 million in “protection fees” from a mining entrepreneur.
