DJ Lamiez Holworthy rushed to hospital for surgical procedure
South African DJ and media personality Lamiez Holworthy has been rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Gauteng for an immediate surgical procedure on Saturday evening, her management has confirmed.
According to a statement from her management team, Brand Arc Team, the condition is not life-threatening. However, the procedure means she will miss scheduled performances tonight (Sunday, 9 August) and on Monday, 10 August 2026.
“This will affect remaining events tonight and on Monday (10 August 2026),” the statement said. Management has apologised to event promoters, organisers, clients, and partners for the sudden disruption and assured that all affected parties will be contacted to reschedule bookings once Holworthy has fully recovered.
The team has asked the public for prayers and requested that her privacy be respected as she focuses on recovery.
Lamiez, a well-known Metro FM presenter, television personality, and DJ, remains one of South Africa’s prominent entertainment figures.
