Acting SAPS National Commissioner Lieutenant-General Puleng Dimpane has thanked President Cyril Ramaphosa for entrusting her with the leadership of the police service during General Fannie Masemola’s absence.
As her acting tenure comes to an end, Dimpane has also expressed gratitude to SAPS management, police officers, organised labour and stakeholders for their support.
She welcomed Masemola’s return to duty, scheduled for Monday, 19 October 2026, and reaffirmed her commitment to serving the police service and the country.
Masemola’s return follows the lifting of his precautionary suspension.
