Brazil Suffer Double Injury Blow

Published

on

Brazil will be without Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles for the remainder of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after suffering injuries against Cameroon.

Both players featured in a much-changed side named by head coach Tite as they eventually lost 1-0 after Vincent Aboubakar’s late winner.

According to the Brazilian news outlet Globo, both players underwent scans with knee injuries ruling them out for the remainder of the tournament in Qatar.

Telles’ injury is likely to require surgery and it leaves the Selecao in a predicament as no replacements can be recalled once the first game of the World Cup is played.

The South American giants face off against South Korea in the last-16 on Monday evening at Stadium 974 (21h00).
