Brazil head coach Tite has confirmed Neymar will be available for their 2022 FIFA World Cup round of 16 clash against South Korea on Monday.

Neymar has been a serious doubt for the remainder of the tournament after suffering a blow to his ankle, which was confirmed ligament damage in their opener against Serbia.

In the pre-match press conference on Sunday, Tite confirmed that Neymar was available and stated: “Neymar will train today in the afternoon and if he trains well he will play.”

The Selecao talisman, 30, has been inspiring form for his club PSG coming into the global showpiece and there’s been real optimism he could lead his nation to the crown.

With 15 goals and 12 assists in 21 games this season, he’s once again proved why he’s considered one of the greatest footballers in the world.

His availability will no doubt be a real boost after Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus were ruled out for the rest of the Qatar 2022 showpiece.
