The South African entertainment industry is currently mourning the sudden passing of Sinesipho Peter, who was popularly known as Bravo Le Roux.
The Makhwenkwe rapper passed away on Thursday, January 22 in Switzerland at the age of 30. The family has not disclosed the cause of death and has asked for privacy as they process their loss.
His wife, who is professionally known as DJ Sab, recently took to her Instagram page to share her heartfelt tribute to her husband.
“With a heavy but loving heart, I share that my husband has passed away. The past days have been overwhelming, and I needed time to grieve and to be strong for our daughter. Thank you for the love, patience, and kindness shown to us. We will always carry him in our hearts,” she penned.
The message was accompanied by a family photo of her, Bravo and their daughter, seemingly taken after their wedding ceremony.
Instagram users filled the comment section with condolence messages.

Singer Buhlebendalo Mda said: “Sending you and the baby warm hugs sisi.”
While another user said: “Oh sisi, I am so sorry. I can’t even imagine what you’re going through, may you stay strong. May God be with you.”
The Department of Sports, Arts & Culture also issued a statement, sharing their condolences on the passing of Bravo Le Roux.
“The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Hon. Gayton McKenzie, has learned with deep sadness of the passing of South African artist Bravo Le Roux on Thursday, 22 January 2026. Bravo Le Roux, born Sinesipho Peter on 11 July 1995, passed away in Switzerland at the age of thirty (30). His passing is a significant loss to South Africa’s music and creative sector, particularly within contemporary hip-hop and township-rooted cultural expression,” read the statement.
