Boohle loses booking opportunity after manager’s alleged WhatsApp messages go viral

Boohle found herself trending on social media after alleged WhatsApp conversations between her manager and an event promoter sparked backlash online.

The viral screenshots, which circulated widely on X, showed a promoter attempting to secure the amapiano vocalist for a performance in Muldersdrift scheduled for September 2026.

However, the exchange quickly turned tense, with many social media users criticising the tone and responses allegedly sent by Boohle’s manager, identified in the chats as Rock.

According to the leaked messages, the promoter initially enquired about Boohle’s availability but allegedly struggled to get timely responses.

The situation escalated further when pricing became part of the discussion.

The promoter reportedly questioned why he was now being quoted R80,000 after previously being told the booking fee would be R30,000.

As the conversation continued, the manager allegedly responded with sarcastic and dismissive remarks, leaving the promoter frustrated enough to walk away from the booking altogether.

Screenshots of the exchange soon made rounds online, triggering widespread debate about professionalism in the entertainment industry.

Many social media users argued that poor communication from management teams can negatively affect artists’ careers and cost them valuable opportunities.

Others warned that situations like these could damage Boohle’s reputation if not addressed quickly.

The post further questioned whether Rock was fully focused on managing Boohle’s career or dividing his attention between management responsibilities and his own DJ career.
