Bontle Modiselle addresses rumours that she’s the breadwinner

Professional dancer Bontle Modiselle and her husband, rapper Priddy Ugly, went on L-Tido’s podcast and addressed online rumours that she is the breadwinner of the family.

“You see people on the internet trying to make fun of you guys’ relationship, saying: “Oh, you’re the breadwinner, he’s taking care of the kids… how do you feel when they would say such things on the internet?” L-Tido asks Modiselle.

“Ag, I feel nothing, bro. It’s not anything for me to feel,” Modiselle says.

“It’s not real,” her husband adds.

“It’s always interesting when people say what they say confidently with no information. With no verification, with no insight. So for us, it becomes a topic of discussion that we laugh over, and it’s the end. It’s not our real life,” she continues.

“Often it’s not even a discussion,” Moloi says.

“Actually, it’s not even a discussion, and it’s just like: ‘Hawu, bathong, and then?’ And we move on,” she says.

“… Our parents love us… They’ve got phones too… sometimes something pops up. They will bring it up…” says Modiselle.

“Then we can talk about it just to give them context. But it’s to give them peace to say: ‘That’s nothing for you to worry about’,” she concludes.

The couple has been married since 2020 and has two children together.

While Modiselle has been making waves in the dance industry, Priddy Ugly, whose real name is Ricardo Moloi, has been climbing his own ladder musically, releasing albums such as DUST and E.G.Y.P.T, which have gained him recognition in the industry.
