The operation was led by the BMA Commissioner and Port Commander Ntakuseni Lambani, who conducted tactical patrols in high-risk zones known for unlawful activity.

This deployment of technology and personnel is part of a broader crackdown on irregular migration during the high-volume post-festive season.

Authorities confirmed that the intensified security measures are designed to safeguard the country’s borders and ensure all travellers use legal ports of entry.

The BMA has signalled that these high-visibility patrols and aerial monitoring will continue as travel remains peaked in early January.
