Black Coffee under fire over resurfaced photo with alleged gang boss

Black Coffee is once again the centre of controversy after a photo showing him seated with alleged underworld figure Ralph Stanfield and the late DJ Sumbody made rounds on social media.

The image, which recently resurfaced online, has reignited public speculation about possible links between prominent entertainers and the criminal world.

In the photo, shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter), the Grammy-winning producer is seen seated at a restaurant table with DJ Sumbody on one side and Ralph Stanfield, rumoured to be a leader of the feared 28s gang, on the other.

Also present is a man believed to be Justin Davaris.

Though others appear in the image, it’s the four men at the centre who have caught social media’s attention.

The photo resurfaced just as new reports emerged surrounding DJ Sumbody’s 2022 assassination, sparking renewed theories and online sleuthing.

A previously circulated video of gossip blogger Musa Khawula alleging a connection between Sumbody and the alleged gang leader also resurfaced, adding fuel to the ongoing chatter.

“The man sitting next to DJ Sumbody is Ralph Stanfield,” read the caption on the now-viral X post.

Some users were quick to dissect the image and question what Black Coffee was doing at the table.

“And opposite is Justin Davaris; strange, he was also sitting opposite Oscar before Oscar went to jail,” commented @electronicline.

Another user, @sdiraec, added, “He’s a big fish in Cape Town. Ayepyep and almost all other nightclubs and entertainment establishments pay protection fees to… well, you guessed it. The security companies hired by the same clubs to provide bouncers belong to… yup, you guessed it!”
