Black Coffee’s girlfriend shows off R157 million Clifton house

South Africa’s Grammy Award-winning DJ Black Coffee’s girlfriend, Victoria Gonzalez, has shown off her partner’s new R157 million Clifton home.

The Venezuelan model and Black Coffee have been dating for over six years.

Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumalo, split from his ex-wife Enhle Mbali in 2019, the same year he began dating Gonzalez.

Iconic home

As was widely reported in late October this year, Black Coffee purchased one of Clifton’s most iconic luxury homes, a five-level architectural masterpiece known as The Pentagon, for R157 million ($9 million) – making it one of South Africa’s biggest property deals of 2025.

No bond was registered, suggesting the house was bought for cash.

Gonzalez and Black Coffee are spending time in the Mother City over the festive season.

Gonzalez took to social media this week to post a number of images of the new house, as well as the pair enjoying various other activities along the Atlantic Seaboard.

Uninterrupted views

According to reports, the multi-level villa, designed by acclaimed architect Stefan Antoni, sits on the cliffs of Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, offering uninterrupted ocean and Twelve Apostles mountain views.

The ultra-luxurious home boasts:

  • Five en-suite bedrooms
  • A private cinema
  • A gym and staff quarters
  • Covered parking for multiple vehicles
  • An elevator connecting all five levels
  • A rim-flow infinity pool overlooking the ocean

The interior, described in listings as “lavish yet minimalistic”, features double-volume living areas, glass walls, and seamless indoor-outdoor flow – a hallmark of Antoni’s signature style.

High-Profile Sale Draws Attention

Luxury real estate broker Lance Cohen of Lance Real Estate confirmed that the sale followed a competitive bidding process with multiple interested buyers.

“It’s one of the most significant residential transactions we’ve seen this year – both in scale and in symbolism,” Cohen said.

Public property records indicate that the title was registered under Little Ark Holdings, a company in which Black Coffee is listed as director.

Commentators noted that the acquisition could represent both a personal sanctuary and an investment statement, cementing the artist’s success on both local and international stages.

From Music to Mega Real Estate

Black Coffee has built an empire spanning music, fashion, and business investments.

His property purchase places him among an exclusive circle of South Africans owning homes in Clifton – an area synonymous with global celebrities and billionaire buyers.

With The Pentagon now under his name, Black Coffee’s new address firmly reflects the heights of success – from the decks of Ibiza to the cliffs of Cape Town.
