Fresh from sealing promotion to the lucrative Saudi Pro League, Pitso Mosimane’s Al-Ahli have received a big boost in their bid to win the league.
It’s been an incredible week for the former Bafana Bafana coach and his Ahli side, with results favoring them as they look to end the season strong.

BIG BOOST FOR PITSO MOSIMANE’S AL AHLI
Mosimane’s side took a big step towards the Saudi First Division League title without kicking a ball after rivals Al-Akhdoud lost to Al-Hazem on Friday.
The two sides – Akhdoud and Hazem – have been the biggest threat to Ahli this season in the exciting race for the title that promises to go down to the wire.
They faced each other on Wednesday with third-placed Hazem getting the better of second-placed Akdoud, and doing Ahli a massive favour in the process.
Akhdoud’s setback meant Mosimane’s charges remain at the summit of the log table with 65 points, three clear of their rivals who have amassed 62 points from 30 matches.
There are now four matches remaining and 12 points to play for with Mosimane’s Royals desperate to hold on until the end to clinch the title.
