Police Minister, Bheki Cele says the mistreatment of GBV victims by police will not be tolerated.
Cele says those who fail to treat victims accordingly will face severe consequences.
He is also urging political leaders to take part in the fight against the scourge.
Cele has been engaging with residents in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal regarding high crime levels in the area.
