SuperSport United defender Onismor Bhasera is set to hang up his boots before 2023/24 season.

After almost 20 years as a professional footballer, the Zimbabwean international has served beautiful game with everything that he can offer on and off the field.

He made his debut in South Africa in the Tembisa Classic colours in the National First Division back in 2004/05 season.

Since then he played for six more South African teams, including the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, and also had a stint with Plymouth Argyle in England, making 114 appearances during which he scored four goals.

After his return from England, he joined Bidvest Wits for three seasons, but he has been on the books of SuperSport since 2016.

He has been a great servant of the game and lifted the Nedbank Cup trophy with SuperSport United in 2016/17.

According to a close source to the Matsatsantsa captain, he is set to hang up his boots but will continue to work within the club.

SuperSport, meanwhile, seem to have planned ahead, as they’ve signed Ronald Pfumbidzai from Chippa United on a pre-contract. The Zimbabwean can play as a left back where Bhasera was operating.

The 37-year-old made 26 appearances in 2022/23 and 188 overall for SuperSport.
