The 2026/27 Betway Premiership season continues this weekend with four fixtures scheduled across Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, as teams look to improve their league positions.

The action starts on Saturday when Chippa United host Kruger United, followed by a KwaZulu-Natal showdown between Golden Arrows and Milford FC. Sekhukhune United will then face struggling Marumo Gallants in a Limpopo derby.

Sunday’s programme sees Siwelele FC welcome Polokwane City, with both sides eager to collect maximum points.

Chippa United vs Kruger United

Saturday, October 17

Chippa United will look to capitalise on home advantage against Kruger United as they aim to build momentum and move away from the bottom half of the table.

Kruger, meanwhile, need a positive result to improve their position after a difficult start to life in the top flight.

Prediction: Chippa United 2-1 Kruger United.

Golden Arrows vs Milford FC

Saturday, October 17

Golden Arrows face an ambitious Milford FC in a local derby that promises an entertaining contest.

Arrows will be eager to turn competitive performances into victories, while Milford will look to continue their encouraging start to their debut Premiership campaign.

Prediction: Golden Arrows 1-1 Milford FC.

Sekhukhune United vs Marumo Gallants

Saturday, October 17

Sekhukhune United will be favourites when they meet Limpopo neighbours Marumo Gallants at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Babina Noko will target maximum points to strengthen their league position, while Gallants desperately need their first league victory after a disappointing run of results.

Gallants will need to improve defensively and become more clinical in front of goal to trouble their opponents.

Prediction: Sekhukhune United 2-0 Marumo Gallants.

Siwelele FC vs Polokwane City

Sunday, October 18

Polokwane City travel to Bloemfontein looking to turn their inconsistent form into a winning run when they face Siwelele FC.

The hosts are under pressure after a difficult start to the campaign and will be desperate to secure their first league victory. Polokwane, however, will see the encounter as an opportunity to collect valuable points.

Prediction: Siwelele FC 1-1 Polokwane City.

Weekend outlook

With the season still taking shape, the four matches offer important opportunities for teams to build momentum.

Sekhukhune will aim to strengthen their position, while Gallants and Siwelele face mounting pressure to turn their fortunes around. Meanwhile, Chippa, Kruger, Golden Arrows, Milford and Polokwane will all be looking to make progress in a competitive Premiership campaign.
