Real Madrid goal poacher Karim Benzema has become the fourth player to score back-to-back Uefa Champions League hat-tricks after Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano.

This comes after Real thrashed Chelsea 3-1 in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal, thanks to France’s lethal frontman Benzema who delivered his latest masterclass.

The 34-year-old footballer came into this match having netted the treble that sunk Paris St-Germain in the competition’s Round of 16 last month.

Chelsea’s consolidation goal came through Kai Havertz, who scored the match-winner in last season’s Champions League final win over Manchester City.

With a 3-1 first-leg advantage, the Spanish giants are on the verge to cruise their way into the tournament’s semifinals.
