Bayern Make Mane Decision – iDiski Times

Bayern Munich have suspended Sadio Mane after his altercation with teammate Leroy Sane following the defeat to Manchester City.

Mane, who turned 31 this week, has been struggling to regain his top form since moving to the German giants, and has been without a goal since picking up an injury before the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In Bayern’s 3-0 defeat to Man City, Mane came on as a second-half substitute but hardly touched the ball after replacing Jamal Musiala after 69 minutes.

Mane and Sane are understood to have had an altercation on the pitch already, during which the Senegal captain felt disrespected, Sport Bild report.

Their heated clash continued after the final whistle in the change room, when both players again clashed and Mane allegedly hit Sane on the lip.

The club have now confirmed that Mane has been suspended due to “misconduct” after the defeat to City on Tuesday.

“Sadio Mane, 31, will not be included in the FC Bayern squad for this Saturday’s home match against 1899 Hoffenheim. This is due to his misconduct after Bayern’s Champions League match at Manchester City. Mané will also be given a fine,” the club stated on Thursday.

Overall, Mane has made 31 appearances since joining Bayern from Liverpool, scoring 11 goals and setting up another five.
