Baxter Assessing SA Striker In Sweden

Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter is currently assessing striker Wayde Lekay at Helsingborgs IF.
The seven-time Swedish Allsvenskan winners are currently in the second-tier after suffering relegation and Baxter has been tasked to help them get back to the elite level.
After initially coming in as Technical Director, he’s stepped into leading the club in the Superettan but things haven’t gone to plan as yet, with a lack of goals notable.
According to reports in SABC, Baxter attempted to lure Bafana Bafana striker Zakhele Lepasa to the club from Orlando Pirates but were rebuffed in their approach.

iDiski Times understands their eyes have now cast on Lekay, who is a free agent after leaving Cape Town City.
The 26-year-old who has netted eight goals in 56 games in the DStv Premiership spent a week at Cape Town Spurs last month but has now resurfaced in Sweden where he will be aiming to impress and rebuild his career abroad.
