Banyana Banyana right-back Lebogang Ramalepe has returned to her Belarusian club FC Dinamo Minsk despite challenges facing the Belarus FA.

Last week, UEFA barred all Belarussian teams from hosting international games, though they could still be expelled from European competitions for joining Russia’s war on Ukraine.

Ramalepe’s side Minsk have qualified for the UEFA Women’s Champions League after winning their second consecutive title.

The 30-year-old has confirmed to FARPost that she has returned to the Eastern European country this past weekend and will start preparations for the new season on Tuesday.

“Yes, I am safe and travelled well and everything looks okay here and there is no conflict,” said Ramalepe.

“We have a Super Cup match on Sunday which is part of the preparations for the league so we will be playing.

“So far nothing has changed. We will be preparing for the Champions League and it begins in August,” she said.
