Banyana star finds new home

Banyana Banyana star Refiloe Jane has found a new home in Europe.

The midfielder has joined Italian Serie A side Sassuolo following her departure from AC Milan.

Jane joined Milan in 2019 and made 47 league appearances in the three seasons she spent at the club.

It’s been a good journey for the former Tshwane University of Technology star, who has made a name for herself since leaving South Africa in 2018.

The 30-year-old initially moved to the Australian club Canberra United in 2018 before moving to Italy a year later.

On the international stage, Jane has made 109 appearances for South Africa and recently led the country to its first African Women’s Cup of Nations.

She becomes the second Banyana star to make a move in the current transfer window after Thembi Kgatlana, who recently joined the American side Racing Louisville from Atletico Madrid.
