Banyana Banyana have announced their starting XI to face Copa America Femenino champions Brazil for a second time in four days.
On Friday, Banyana lost 3-0 in the first friendly match at Orlando Stadium on Friday, where they were holding their ground against the South American side for large parts of the contest and had several good opportunities themselves.
Brazil are now unbeaten in seven matches, having won all of them without conceding a single goal while scoring 23 themelseves.
Brazil women’s national team coach Pia Mariane Sundhage has demanded more from her side when the the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations champions in the second friendly match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium today, insisting defensively she was not pleased, insisting it is an her side need to improve on ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia next year.
“Defensively, we spoke about more compactness,” the two-time gold medallists coach with the US said.

“But it was okay because we scored three good goals. We have to do better when we attack and I thought it was pretty good on the left-hand side, but we have to utilize both sides in order to win the game tomorrow.”
For Banyana, the 3-0 defeat to Brazil was their first loss after winning all six games at the WAFCON. The match is seen is the first of several competition preparation matches for next year’s World Cup.
