Simphiwe Dludlu saw her side bow out of the 2022 Fifa U-17 World Cup qualifiers to Ethiopia on Sunday in Addis Ababa.
Bantwana came into this game game trailing behind by 3-0 from the first leg played at Wits Stadium.
Malihlohonolo Mibe scored the only goal of the day in the first half.
Despite South Africa securing a 1-0 slender win over the East African in the final round, the Ethiopian side walked away victorious with a 3-1 win on aggregate.
“We worked hard for a win and God granted us one. We might be out of the Qualifiers but these players showed a lot more character bravery against Ethiopia away,” said coach Dludlu.
“We shall continue building hoping for more.”
