  • Victor Mthethwa Majola remains in custody after being denied bail by the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.
  • DJ Warras was fatally shot by three gunmen outside a building near the Carlton Centre on 16 December.
  • Arrested on 22 December 2025, Majola now faces charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy.

The charges stem from the fatal shooting of Stock on 16 December 2025.

The popular DJ was targeted outside a building near the Carlton Centre in the Johannesburg central business district.

Reports indicate that three unidentified individuals approached Stock and opened fire before fleeing the scene on foot.

Following a police investigation, Majola was apprehended on 22 December. The motive for the attack remains a central part of the ongoing inquiry.

The local community and media industry bid farewell to Stock on 23 December during a funeral service held at the Rosebank Catholic Church.

The case has been postponed for further investigation as authorities continue to search for the remaining suspects.
