  • The Johannesburg Magistrates Court has moved Victor Majola’s bail hearing to Tuesday, 13 January, keeping him in custody for another week.
  • Majola faces a charge of premeditated murder following the fatal December shooting of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock.
  • Prosecutors have confirmed they will formally oppose Majola’s release during next week’s proceedings due to the gravity of the allegations.

The premeditated murder case against Victor Majola was postponed in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 6 January 2026.

Majola, who appeared this morning, will remain in custody until his next court date on Tuesday, 13 January.

The 44-year-old stands accused of the high-profile killing of media personality Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras.

Stock was fatally shot on 16 December 2024 outside Zambezi House in the Johannesburg CBD, an incident allegedly linked to his work in private security and efforts to reclaim hijacked buildings.

The postponement was granted to allow for a formal bail application next week.

While the defence has indicated Majola’s intention to seek release, the State has confirmed it will vigorously oppose the application, citing the severity of the Schedule 6 offence.
