Bafana Bafana midfielder Luke Le Roux has been named Player of the Season by his club Varbergs BoiS.
Le Roux, 22, made his senior international debut in September against Sierra Leone and has featured in every game under Hugo Broos since.
It was his superb performances for his club which have earned him his Bafana call-up and he has now also been rewarded by his Swedish side for his fine performances this season.
Le Roux was named Player of the Season at the Varbergs BoiS end-of-year awards.
The midfielder’s fine displays have also received praised by his club coach Joakim Persson, who had admitted his may not be able to keep hold of him and ranks him as one of the best midfielders in the league.
Swedish giants Malmö are among the several suitors in the Swedish top-flight that have been casting an eye over his talent, having playing an integral role in helping Varbergs BoiS retain their top-flight status for another season.
