Bafana Bafana and Morocco have announced their starting XIs for tonight’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Hugo Broos’ men take on Morocco in Rabat this evening at 21:00, which will be their first AFCON 2023 qualifier for Group K.

It will be South Africa’s first return to national duty since the 5-0 friendly loss to world champions France. However, the Atlas Lions also come into this fixture after having suffered a 3-0 defeat to the USA in Cincinnati last week Friday.

The last matchup between the two national outfits ended in a 1-0 victory to Morocco, which was their only win over South Africa so far, with the overall record reading two wins for Bafana, three draws and one defeat.

The match even has more importance after Zimbabwe were disqualified from the AFCON 2023 qualifications and Group K now only being decided between three teams, with Liberia being the other nation in the group.

Here is how the team’s line up:

South Africa XI: Williams, Kekana, Phete, Fielies, Mudau, Lakay, Mosele, Sithole, Tau, Lorch, Foster.

Subs: Mothwa, Bvuma, Mobile, Maart, Nange, Makgopa, Hlongwane, Mayo, Lakay, Schande.

Morocco XI: Bonou, Aguerd, Saiss, Hakimi, Masina, Amrabat, Amallah, Barkok, Chair, En-Nesryi, Tissoudali.

Subs: tbc.
