Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has announced his 23-man squad for the upcoming friendly fixture against Zambia, set to take place on Wednesday, 15 November, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.

The selection, revealed on Thursday, demonstrates a strategic blend of seasoned international players and promising new faces as the national team prepares for future major tournaments.

Broos’s squad includes notable new inclusions, such as young talents Keletso Makgalwa and Masindi Nemtajela, providing them with a chance to gain valuable international experience.

The core of the team draws heavily from the country’s top clubs, with nine players from Orlando Pirates and five from Mamelodi Sundowns making the final cut.

This crucial friendly against Zambia serves as vital preparation for South Africa’s commitments in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Bafana Bafana have been drawn into Group B for the tournament, where they will face challenging opponents in Egypt, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
