Fans were truly impressed with Babes Wodumo’s live performance at the Red Bull event, on 13 June at Montecasino in Johannesburg.

BABES WODUMO’S PERFORMANCE RECEIVES THUMBS UP

Saturday marked the start of the annual Red Bull Symphonic weekend, with various South African artists performing alongside a live orchestra.

Some of those artists include Dlala Thukzin, Sun-El Musician, Simmy, Zee Nxumalo, and Mnqobi Yazo.

The energy drink company described this year’s installment of the symphonic experience as:

“Every year Red Bull Symphonic evolves. This year’s setting is a deliberate step into something bigger designed to elevate the experience.”

Babes Wodumo’s presence on stage was a breath of fresh air, and fans raved about her performance and outfit.

She rocked a black bubble minidress paired with a short blonde wig, and her makeup? Absolutely flawless!

Check out these comments from the Red Bull Instagram page:

Sibongiseni_Ndlovu commented: Oh, to see her winning. She sounds so so good.

DineoMoloisane wrote: Our legend queen is back and looking so scrumptious.

Queen_Saline added: I would’ve had a heart attack and came [come] back to life! Ughhhh, can she come to the States? I still listen to my sissy faithfully!!!

Taydow_Lite wrote: Literal goosebumps. She looks and sounds so good.

BABES WODUMO’S MAKING WAVES IN 2026

Babes Wodumo’s career trajectory is going well this year. She is set to make an interesting appearance in Vusi Nova’s music video for his upcoming song, You’re All I Need, playing his love interest.

Many were pleasantly surprised to see Babes, who was married to fellow artist Mampintsha, in such a romantic and sultry setting, considering her background as a gqom artist.

In a spicy Instagram post, Vusi Nova wrote the following about his “love interest”:

“Wena wodumo! She’s the moonlight.”

“She’s the air I breathe in. She’s my melody. I don’t wanna be without my baby,” he wrote.

The Umngan’wami hitmaker is still basking in the success of her album, Mabheshingo. She released it in October 2025, and it has received positive reviews from industry peers and fans alike.
