Babes Wodumo set to drop EP
Babes Wodumo is back in the studio, and this time she’s switching things up with a fresh sound that fans might not expect.
The Wololo hitmaker recently shared a behind-the-scenes video of herself vibing in the studio alongside a group of young dancers, hinting at what’s to come from her upcoming EP.
In her caption, Babes explained that she wanted to experiment with a maskandi influence instead of sticking strictly to gqom.
“One with my EP, bengishoda ngomaskandi feel, I wanted to do this differently. Impela, I do have friends who are maskandi artists, but I came across these young girls (Ushuni waseMzini) and that’s when it hit me. Ground talent is just perfect. Super talented girls who love music like I do,” she wrote.
The star went on to thank the group and their parents for allowing them to join her in the studio.
She also revealed that the project is officially complete and packed with surprising collaborations.
“Finally my EP is done. Fresh music, not gqom kuphela, most features will shock everyone. Guys ngiyacula 😂 Can’t wait for you to hear my EP. Yep, I’m ready!” she added excitedly.
Babes also hinted that she has signed new artists as part of her fresh start, promising that the new era of her music is going to be “wild.”
