Babes Wodumo responds to her critics slamming her weight loss

Babes Wodumo has responded to trolls who said she looks sick because she has lost weight.

This occurred after Musa Khawula, an entertainment blogger, posted a picture of the star while she was at the Ukhozi FM studios, and people thought she appeared ill in the photo.

Babes couldn’t let this go, so she replied to radio host Jacinta Ngobese’s Facebook post by saying that it hurts to see people, mostly women, make fun of her weight loss during and after her pregnancy.

Jacinta talked about how being picked on because of her weight loss made her feel. She said that when she was 8 months pregnant, she was depressed and lost a lot of weight.

She then told those making fun of Babes to stop. Wodumo said, “So the people making fun of Babes don’t know how hard it is to be a mother and how much of yourself you lose during that time. All you need is to be surrounded by love and kindness and people who care about you so you can at least have beautiful memories of that time.”

Babes Wodumo then replied to the post and said that most of the mean things said to her are by women.

“I lost weight during my pregnancy and after birth I lost more weight. It hurts to see women making fun of how I look,” she said. “Is it because I’m a celebrity or because I’m a young woman who is finding her feet in motherhood? I am enjoying motherhood and I don’t know what they want from me.
“Others are quick to judge saying I am sick, I need help or I am taking drugs, just because I had a baby and my body is still recovering…I am not stressing about my weight loss because some of my friends and my sister went through the same thing.”
