Gqom star Babes Wodumo is reflecting on a breakthrough season in her career while hinting at even bigger plans ahead.

Taking to social media, the singer described 2025 as “a year of faith,” revealing that her hard work paid off in a major way.

She proudly shared that her album performed strongly, with one of its standout tracks, Ekhoneni, racking up close to two million streams within just two weeks of release.

“2025 was a year of faith ☺️ Pushed so hard my album did well. Ekhoneni alone lead close to 2M streams in 2 weeks. Guys Ngiyabonga 🙏 I’m doing a lot this year you’ll be seeing me kakhulu on screen super excited. Doing features already so I’m in my happy place. This is a lesson that God never fails,” she wrote.

The Wololo hitmaker expressed gratitude to fans for supporting her music journey, crediting faith and perseverance for her recent success.

Her message suggests a renewed sense of confidence and momentum following the project’s performance on streaming platforms.

Beyond music, Babes Wodumo revealed that fans can expect to see much more of her on screen this year, teasing upcoming appearances and collaborations.

She also confirmed that she is already working on new features, signalling that fresh music is on the way.

For the Durban-born artist, the milestone serves as both validation and motivation.

Framing her journey as proof that “God never fails,” Babes appears determined to build on the success of Ekhoneni and expand her presence across music and media in the months ahead.
