Former AmaZulu coach has landed himself a new job after parting ways with Usuthu last month.
AmaZulu took a decision to cut ties with Dlamini following the end of the 2022/23 PSL season.
This comes after Dlamini failed to guide the KwaZulu-Natal side to the DStv Premiership top eight finish.
He was in charge of AmaZulu in the last six games of the last campaign as an interim coach, having served in the club’s development structures before.
In those six matches, Dlamini only managed to collect five points after winning one game, drawing two, and losing three. As a result, Usuthu finished the last term in 12th position with 33 points from 30 outings.
THE TEAMS AYANDA DLAMINI PLAYED FOR BEFORE
Dlamini played for Usuthu starting from 2009 until 2016. He then later left the club where he went on to have a brief spell at Bloemfontein Celtic between 2016 and 2017.
AYANDA DLAMINI FINDS NEW HOME
KZN ABC Motsepe League side Umvoti has appointed Dlamini as the club’s new head coach ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Dlamini will be assisted by Phelelani Mpangase and Lindokuhle Bhengu at his new club.
Last season, Umvoti finished in position seven with 21 points after 18 games in Stream B of the provincial ABC Motsepe League.
Given Dlamin’s extensive experience of the beautiful game, he will be expected to help the side to achieve its ultimate goal of winning the league and qualifying for the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs.
And with God’s grace, getting promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Coach Dlamini will hit the ground running immediately as the new ABC Motsepe League season looms large.
The side will announce their new recruits once discussions and negotiations have been concluded.
